for the Build Wild app and this website
In short
- No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- Photos, notes and progress are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not see your name or payment details.
1. Who is responsible
Build Wild is made by Denys Vasyliuk, Anna-Heinemann-Weg 33, 45131 Essen, Germany. Email: hi@moonage.me.
2. What stays on your device
The app saves the following on your iPhone, in its own storage:
- finished builds in the album: which project, the date and the note you wrote;
- photos you add to the album, as a reduced copy;
- simple settings, for example that the welcome screen was already shown.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. The app has no server and no account. If your iPhone backup (iCloud or computer) is turned on, iOS includes the app’s data in it; that backup is managed by Apple under your settings. Removing a build from the album deletes its photo; deleting the app deletes everything.
3. Camera and photos
The camera is used only when you tap “Take a photo”, and iOS asks for your permission first. When you choose a photo from your library, iOS shows its own picker and the app receives only the photo you selected; it has no access to the rest of your library. Photos may show your children. They stay on your device.
4. Purchases
The full version is a one-time in-app purchase through the App Store. Payment is processed by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. To check whether the full version is unlocked, the app asks the App Store on your device; we do not receive your Apple ID, name or payment details. Apple gives us only anonymous sales reports. This is the only reason the app goes online: all projects are built into the app.
5. What the app does not do
No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics, no crash reporting, no location, no contacts, no microphone. Nothing is sold or shared. In App Store terms: Data Not Collected.
6. Children
Build Wild is made for parents who build outdoors with their children. It does not collect data from anyone, including children. Purchases and settings are meant for adults.
7. This website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). To deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page and your browser. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process data outside the EU; this is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads its fonts from this domain.
8. Emails
If you write to hi@moonage.me, we use your email address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once the matter is closed and no retention duty applies. The mailbox is provided by Apple (iCloud Mail).
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Since the app sends us no data, we usually hold nothing about you apart from emails you sent. Write to hi@moonage.me. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in the German state where you live.
10. Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date at the top.
